East India

The Eastern region of India comprises of the States of West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Jarkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

The Culture of this region varies from State to state and province to province. The major occupation of this region is Agriculture, Jute, Tourism, Industry and Fishing. The North Eastern Himalayan Region consists also called as the Seven Jewels of India. The Himalayas are important Mountain Ranges in this region. The rivers Ganga & Bramhaputra flow through this region. The Hill Stations & the wast beaches form famous Tourist spots. The regions of Assam, Sikkim & West Bengal are famous for Tea Plantations. Some of the best Tea in the World comes from this region.

The East Indian food is Famous all over the World. It mainly comprises of Rice & preparations, Sea Food preparations.

Kamakhya Temple, Tea gardens, Holy Places, Himalayas, Puri Temple are some of the places of Interest of this region.

South India

The Southern region of India comprises of the States of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Union Territories of Pondicherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The Culture of this region varies from State to state and province to province. The major occupation of this region is Agriculture, Tourism, Industry and Fishing. The Software Capital of India - Bangalore also falls in this region. The Nilgiris and the western Ghats are important Mountain Ranges in this region. The Hill Stations & the wast beaches form famous Tourist spots. The regions of kerala and tamil nadu are famous for their spices and forest based medicinal herbs.

The North Indian food is Famous all over the World. It mainly comprises of Rice & preparations, Sea Food and spice based preparations.

West India

The Western region of India comprises of the States of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the Union Territories of Dadra & Nagarhaveli and Daman & Diu.

The Culture of this region varies from State to state and province to province. The major occupation of this region is Agriculture & Industries. The Commercial Capital of India - Mumbai also falls in this region.The Arabian Sea lies to the west of this region, The Western Ghats form the major Mountain Range in this region. The Sea shore and beaches have developed into major Tourist destinations of this region. This region has famous Wild Life Sanctuaries which preserve endangered species of  Lions, Tigers, etc.

The West Indians are very fond of their food. The preparations change from region to region and each one has its peculiarities.

The Gateway of India, The Somnath temple, Raigadh Fort, are some of the famous Monuments of this region. This region has some of the busiest Sea Ports in India, these sea ports handle most of the Cargo in the Country.

North India


The diverse Northern region of India comprises of the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, NCR-Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and the Union Territory of Chnadigarh.
The Culture of this region varies from State to state and province to province. The major occupation of this region is Agriculture and the Famous Green revolution also had originated from here. The Capital of India - Delhi also falls in this region. The Himalayas in the north are a symbol of Grandeur and strength, the largest river of India, the Ganga flows through this region. The Hill Stations of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir have developed into Famous Tourist Destinations. 

The North Indian food is Famous all over the World. It mainly comprises of Rice & Wheat preparations, Milk and Milk products and a wide range of vegetables.

The Taj Mahal, The golden temple, The Red Fort, The Indian Parliament, are some of the famous Monuments of this region.
