North India


The diverse Northern region of India comprises of the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, NCR-Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and the Union Territory of Chnadigarh.
The Culture of this region varies from State to state and province to province. The major occupation of this region is Agriculture and the Famous Green revolution also had originated from here. The Capital of India - Delhi also falls in this region. The Himalayas in the north are a symbol of Grandeur and strength, the largest river of India, the Ganga flows through this region. The Hill Stations of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir have developed into Famous Tourist Destinations. 

The North Indian food is Famous all over the World. It mainly comprises of Rice & Wheat preparations, Milk and Milk products and a wide range of vegetables.

The Taj Mahal, The golden temple, The Red Fort, The Indian Parliament, are some of the famous Monuments of this region.
